Jacob Sacksner, Physiotherapist Owner

Jacob Sacksner

Physiotherapist/Owner

Jake completed both his Bachelors and Masters degree in Physiotherapy at McGill University. Jake started Paradigm Sports Physio with the goal of changing the way physiotherapy is delivered to clients: private offices, longer treatment times and where the client experience comes first. Jake takes a holistic approach to injury and pain management using a combination of hands-on techniques and exercise to individualize his care. The best way to describe Jake is passionate and caring.

Matthew Heron

Osteopath

Matt is a great believer in the exponential power of healthy daily habits combined with a pro- active, whole body therapeutic approach aimed addressing the root cause of pain and injury. Matt takes great joy in guiding his clients through the learning process of proper breathing and posture combined with osteopathic manual therapy to build self-awareness, alleviate pain, improve performance, prevent future injury and help unlock the healing potential we all have within us.

An active lifestyle has always been a passion for Matt. He played competitive soccer for over 20 years, rugby for 10 years and taught downhill skiing for 2 years while also dabbling in tennis, volleyball and aquatics. He has recently fallen in love with more restorative practices such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and daily walks in nature. Matt started his professional career lifeguarding in 1996, followed by studies in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University (certified in 2003) and in Osteopathy at College d’Etudes Osteopathic (certified 2019). He has over 20 years of professional experience working in numerous sports medicine clinics and 12 years of experience working in the university sports setting at Concordia, McGill and Ecole de Technologie Superior (ETS).

Matt has vast experience from both sides of the treatment table (therapist and patient) as he played all those sports with little to no self regard for his own well being and has learnt as much from helping others recover from injuries as he has from his own. After ending his competitive career after suffering one too many concussions, he has adopted a more holistic approach to health and well being. He is a voracious learner, continually reading and listening to podcasts with a keen interest in longevity, trauma healing and psychology. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or looking prevent getting one in the first place, Matt has the skill set and knowledge to help you achieve your goals.
